This was my first attempt at crocheting and I’m hooked! My four year old daughter is always asking for these at markets and I thought it would be great to be able to make them for her. As a child, I’d spend hours embroidering bracelets, so it felt like I was revisiting an old hobby even though I was learning a new skill. The unicorn itself is adorable, the instructions are so clear with scaffolding that felt just right. I can understand why maybe there was a bit less explicit instruction for attaching the bangs and ears… you have to explore your stitching and use some creative judgment to see what will work for your piece. I love how easy it is to undo mistakes with crocheting so far, too. Such a fun project and my daughter loves it! Thanks for making crocheting so approachable.
So i actually made Billy back in June when I was new but I’ve made like 30 Woobles since then and he was a bit of a challenge working in a chain, but he’s one of my favorites I’ve made.
I have don't two woobles before Kiki the Chick and Jojo the Bunny both were beginners and I got this as a Christmas gift and was very excited to do a beginners plus kit and I was not let down. At first when I was making it The shape looked all disformed and I didn't think it was right but actually that is just because I hadn't stuffed it, so that was my fault. My only problem was with the videos on the bangs while making it the video was going too fast to really pick up on so I had to turn on subtitles but when it got to the placement it was not clear so I placed it too close to the bangs and barely had enough room for the bangs. Even after that this is a great cute kit and if you've done just even a bit of crochet you could pick up on it and easily do it. Amazing product and really cute!
Our family has a running joke that my brother - Billy - is a fancy unicorn. It must have been destiny. This was a great kit. I gifted it to my brother and the rest is Wooble history!
I bought this at a bookstore and he offered a challenge! I’ve already done a lot of woobling, including some intermediate kits, and he was definitely hard! He’s not perfect, but I love him nonetheless. If this were to be your first wooble keep in mind that there are a lot of pieces and it might be pretty hard, but if you want a challenge, then go ahead! I love the Woobles so much! Thanks for teaching me and so many others how to crochet!
