This is my fourth wooble and the only one I've been disappointed in! I am obviously not a crochet expert, but it seemed like the pattern was poorly designed.
Firstly, why is the stem flat on an otherwise 3D piece? Also if done as instructed, the stem might not even cover all the red at the top, which wouldn't look great. Instead, I made a 3D stem using a 5 stitch magic circle technique I learned from another kit - I would highly recommend The Woobles change this pattern to use this instead! It was also a bit odd to sow the leaves as flat, as real strawberry leaves aren't stuck to the surface of a strawberry like that. I decided to not sow my leaves completely flat after the first couple, as they didn't look right. I also found the instruction videos not helpful on how to specifically sow the leaf, which is an unusual shape, onto the structure. The video was a generic circle, not a leaf. I wasn't sure how to go around the end curve and then go back up the leaf. I tried to follow instructions on the invisible decrease stitch, but they weren't invisible like they've been on previous woobles! I redid it and emailed for help, but didn't get a response so I decided to keep going even though it doesn't look as nice. The decrease stitches made obvious ridges and turned the strawberry into having like six sides, instead of being round. It looked this way in the video too, so I don't think was just me. Lastly, the strawberry ended on a rather clear point, which strawberries do, but it's really difficult to set down and keep upright to display the finished project! It has to lean against something. A slightly flatter bottom would have been better.
I would recommend people look at other Woobles.
